Each certificate issued through ArtDrop is an artist-issued authenticity record. The printed code points to a public page that can be opened without an ArtDrop account. The record connects the artist's statement and identifying details to the artwork and the original certificate PDF.

Artist-issued assertion
The artist or issuing studio states what the work is and who issued the record.
ArtDrop system
ArtDrop hosts, timestamps, and preserves the record issued through the system.
Public lookup
A collector can scan a certificate issued through ArtDrop and open its public verification page in a browser, without signing in.
The artist or issuing studio makes the authenticity assertion. ArtDrop does not independently authenticate authorship, appraise the artwork, or inspect the physical object.

It also includes the artist's certificate statement and the details needed to compare the record with the work in hand.

Piece title, series, artwork image, materials, and dimensions.
Edition
Edition number and edition size, including the recorded edition type.
Issuance
Issued date, public certificate code, current status, and status history when present.
Original certificate
A direct link to open the original certificate PDF.

Verification pages for certificates issued through ArtDrop use no-store and noindex controls so each scan checks the current record instead of relying on a cached or search-indexed copy.

Open verification
For a certificate issued through ArtDrop, collectors can open its verification page, certificate PDF, and artwork image without an ArtDrop account.
Unknown codes
ArtDrop only opens the record tied to the scanned code. If the code does not match a certificate issued through ArtDrop, the page says that no issuance record was found.

Public verification is live. Issuance for artists is in development.

Certificates already issued through ArtDrop can be verified publicly today. Issuance is not yet available to ArtDrop customers. Interested artists can contact us to ask about future availability.
