- Line storage, routing, voice, and template filtering contracts were verified. The split between Stores and Storefront editors is a current discoverability limitation.
What this does
Apply line-specific title, SEO, tag, intro, voice, and template rules without mixing store credentials.
Before you begin
- Select the intended store; product lines are scoped inside one store and are free/unlimited within it.
- Configure provider products before restricting a line to a template subset.
What changes outside ArtDrop
Saving a line changes future local routing and copy/template selection. A later normal drop can publish externally according to those rules. Copy settings across stores never copies credentials.
Steps
-
Open the current editor
Use the legacy Storefront settings surface, edit the intended store, then open Product lines. The modern Stores page displays line counts but does not edit them.
-
Define identity and title behavior
Set Line name, choose Inherit, AI, or Template title mode as shown in the UI, and add a title template or SEO title suffix only when needed.
-
Add line copy rules
Set line tags, voice addendum, and product intro. Keep claims grounded in the products that line actually receives.
-
Restrict templates
Choose Only these product templates when a line should create a subset, and set a default line only after checking existing sheet/sidecar routing.
-
Test one routed drop
Select the line in Drop Zone or stamp it in a sheet/sidecar, then verify voice, title, tags, intro, and created products.
Expected result
The destination badge shows the store and line, and the resulting draft/product uses only the line’s allowed templates and copy changes.
Limits and non-goals
- Store and line resolve independently; an unknown name fails instead of publishing to the wrong store.
- The UI label AI is a current product control, not a public marketing claim about ArtDrop.
Troubleshooting
- If no products are created, confirm that the line’s template filter still contains active provider templates.
- If a line cannot be found, reload the latest store revision before editing again.
How to undo or clean up
Edit the line for future work. External products already created need separate editing or deletion.
