// Getting started
Guided setup. The wizard shows Storefront, Storage, Printers, Social, and Copy. Organic social posting is not available in the current customer setup, so do not rely on the Social controls to start or stop posts.
ArtDrop setup wizard with Storefront, Storage, Printers, Social, and Copy.

Bring finished artwork plus the accounts ArtDrop will use for your store, print provider, and storage. First-run setup can use Shopify or Etsy as the only storefront. Etsy digital downloads need the exact authorized shop and supported storage. Physical Etsy products publish through your own Etsy-connected Printify shop or Gelato store. Printful creates the product in Printful. Copy generation is optional, so you can use an ArtDrop draft or your own words. Artwork can be PNG, JPG, JPEG, TIF, or TIFF.

The wizard guides you through accounts, storage, providers, templates, copy settings, and connection checks. The time depends on what you connect. Start with a small drop, check the result in your store and provider, then grow the batch. Larger batches need you to keep an eye on them.

ArtDrop asks only for credentials used by the services you connect. First-run setup can begin with Shopify or Etsy. Etsy digital downloads use Etsy authorization plus a supported storage connection. Physical Etsy products use credentials for your own Etsy-connected Printify shop or Gelato store. Printful uses its own provider credentials. Find each key in that service's account dashboard. ArtDrop saves the entries first, then runs the connection checks. Confirm every connection before your first live drop, and never send credentials to support.

Yes, through Hosted Web. It runs in a supported modern browser on desktop and mobile. It is a web app, not a native mobile app. The separate lifetime Mac license runs on up to 2 Macs. Hosted Web needs an active Web subscription, and Web and Mac are separate purchases.

No. ArtDrop guides you through setup in a visual interface. You will copy credentials and destination IDs from your own account dashboards, then run connection checks. The setup guide walks you through it.

Start with the task guides in Docs or the Help Center. They cover current setup and troubleshooting. If your problem is not covered, email support@getartdrop.com.

An API key lets ArtDrop ask a connected service to upload files, generate copy, or create and publish products for you. Hosted ArtDrop encrypts credential values at rest with AES-256-GCM inside each account's PostgreSQL configuration JSON. The backend decrypts a credential only for an authorized workflow that needs it. Browser views, settings downloads, and account-data exports use key-name filters to hide, remove, or redact recognized values. Those filters miss LULU_CLIENT_KEY and GOOTEN_PARTNER_BILLING_KEY. A browser view would show either value if a rendering path exposed it, and both downloads can include it after the configuration is read. Encryption at rest does not make a downloaded file safe to share. On Mac or in local operation, ArtDrop writes the full settings, including credentials, to artdrop_config.json and tries to copy selected secrets to the operating-system keyring. Keep settings and export files private, grant only the permissions you need, and rotate any exposed key.

Hosted sign-in supports magic links and passkeys. Sessions normally expire after 30 minutes of inactivity, and a fourth normal session usually revokes the oldest of the three. Sign out clears the current browser and asks the server to revoke the session. Your enrolled passkey stays in place. These limits depend on database records: during a database outage, access can remain open and a failed record insert can create a stateless session. If sign-in is uncertain, open the full newest email link or sign in by email. A broken link, network error, or passkey setup error cannot tell you whether a passkey exists. Attaching a license is a separate signed-in step.

Yes. Use Hosted Web in a supported mobile browser for routine drops after setup. A larger screen is often easier for setup and large files. ArtDrop is a web app, not a native mobile app, and connected services need an internet connection.

// How it works

What one artwork can become

One source artwork appears on one Printful and three Printify mockups. These images show possible formats and placements. They do not prove that a drop ran, that listings are live, or that physical samples were reviewed.

It is an artist-issued authenticity record created and preserved through the ArtDrop system. The artist or issuing studio makes the authenticity assertion. ArtDrop hosts, timestamps, and preserves the issued record. ArtDrop does not independently authenticate authorship, appraise the artwork, or inspect the physical object. Read the dedicated certificate page.

A certificate of authenticity issued through ArtDrop opens a public verification page without an ArtDrop account when its code is scanned. The page shows the current status, issuing artist display and studio name, the artist's certificate statement, piece title, series, materials, dimensions, edition number and size, issued date, public code, artwork image, and a link to the original certificate PDF. Verification pages for certificates issued through ArtDrop use no-store and noindex controls so each scan checks the current record instead of relying on a cached or search-indexed copy.

No. Public verification is live for certificates already issued through ArtDrop. Issuance for artists is in development and is not yet available to ArtDrop customers.

ArtDrop saves the artwork, then builds the products and listings supported by your selected store and provider. Published means the named store has confirmed the live listing. Some completed work ends as a store draft or a product at the provider instead. Accepted, Processing, and Scheduled do not mean published. The Live Log may be incomplete, so check the named store and provider before you sell, retry, or add more work.

Yes. Copy a supported image and paste it into the Drop Zone with your usual paste command. Check the Dropping to badge first, then follow the Live Log. Pasted artwork goes through the same file, size, storage, provider, and store checks as a drag or file selection.

Open the named provider and store to see what finished, then retry only the failed step. Retry Sync is not a general retry for provider or publication failures. Dismiss only clears the item from this view. Any product already created outside ArtDrop stays in place.

Reload the exact store, provider, voice, license, or outside service before you try again. A selected field, applied voice rule, empty card, or closed dialog is not confirmation. Refresh License Status when activation or release is unclear, because the device slot may already have changed. If the result is still unclear, email support@getartdrop.com with the action, target, and time. Never send credentials or a license key.

ArtDrop studies your image and saved voice rules to draft titles, descriptions, SEO fields, and alt text. The result depends on the image and your instructions. Review factual details, rights-sensitive language, product attributes, and brand voice. Then edit the draft in ArtDrop's Shopify Products editor, Shopify, or Etsy when needed.

Refine your brand voice in Voice Trainer or edit the listing in ArtDrop's Shopify Products editor, Shopify, or Etsy. ArtDrop begins processing without a separate copy-approval pause, so start with a small drop and check the first result. Edit a store draft or provider result in the service that owns it. Scheduling can space out a batch while you review the first listings.

Yes. Choose the Shopify store on ArtDrop's Products page, then edit the title, description, SEO title, or SEO description. ArtDrop saves those changes directly to Shopify. Use Shopify itself for media, pricing, variants, inventory, and status. Edit Etsy listings in Etsy or in the print provider that owns the physical product.

Use Voice Trainer in Copy and Data. Give it supported writing files, a website URL, or your Store Identity fields. Each request accepts up to 10 DOCX, TXT, PDF, CSV, JPG, JPEG, or PNG files. ArtDrop sets no per-file byte cap for these samples, while combined extracted text is capped at 120,000 characters. Review the fields, choose Save, and reload the selected store to confirm the profile. The signed-in app shows the available copy method and any applicable limits or billing. The Mac app requires a personal Anthropic key.

Yes. You choose the product templates, and each template stands for a specific product or format at a provider. Each drop uses the active, compatible templates for the providers you connected. A template still has to meet the provider's requirements and validation. Use two templates for two products or fifteen for fifteen. ArtDrop leaves that choice to you.

Templates choose the product mix

Four separate artworks show four possible provider and format choices. Each image is one example, not proof that every template supports every format or that any listing is live.

Upload TIF, TIFF, PNG, JPG, or JPEG artwork. One request can contain up to 200 files and 3 GiB total, and each artwork file can be up to 2 GiB. ArtDrop does not add a separate side-length or total-pixel cap. Your browser, network, storage, template, and provider can have their own limits. Follow the specifications for your largest print area and order representative samples. DPI metadata or a single pixel count cannot prove print quality.

ArtDrop can read EXIF or XMP details such as camera, lens, focal length, aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Choose Full display to show technical details on the product page, Tags only to use them for tags without displaying them, or Off to ignore them. Set the choice in Settings. Review the extracted details first because EXIF can contain a location or other information you would rather keep private.

Choose Hosted Web for $39/month or the Mac app for $399 one time on up to 2 Macs. They are separate entitlements. A $399 Mac purchase does not include hosted Web access, and a Web subscription does not include the Mac app. The first store is included. Each store supports up to 50 product lines and has its own voice. Additional-store prices appear in the Shopify answer below. The Web demo uses a 3-drop counter. After a request saves at least one artwork file, the route rechecks demo mode and, if it is still active, attempts one increment. A concurrent request can exhaust the allowance before that recheck, and missing database connectivity can leave a saved request uncounted. A failed counter update does not fail the accepted upload response; exceptions from the attempted update are logged. The counter is not a hard maximum. The demo is not available in the Mac app. Both paid plans include a 14-day refund window. Product publishing has no ArtDrop per-product fee. Copy generation is optional and separate. The signed-in app shows the available copy method and any limits or billing before generation. The Mac app requires a personal Anthropic key. Seller-written copy from a filename, template, CSV or XLSX copy sheet, JSON sidecar, or product editor is supported. JSON sidecars are limited to 2 MiB each. Store, provider, storage, payment-processing, and personal-key costs are separate under each service's current terms.

The lifetime Mac license covers up to 2 Macs. Hosted Web runs in a supported browser with its own active Web subscription. The two purchases are separate. Contact support if you need help moving a Mac activation.

ArtDrop's Terms provide a 14-day money-back guarantee. Email support@getartdrop.com within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, no questions asked. You can describe the issue if you want to help improve the product. Support can also help diagnose a connected service that rejects a credential, file, template, or product.

Yes. Email support@getartdrop.com within 14 days of purchase for a full refund to your original payment method, no questions asked.

// Channels & roadmap

Yes. Choose the eligible stores in Storefronts. Each store keeps its own voice, product lines, connection, and provider destination. One drop can go to one store or several selected stores. Check each result separately. Printful creates the product in Printful rather than a Shopify or Etsy listing. See the current signed-in price before adding a store.

Yes. Select each shop under Publish drops to. ArtDrop sends the artwork to every selected store with that store's voice, product lines, template filter, and destination. If one destination is missing or incomplete, ArtDrop stops that store instead of falling back to another one.

Yes. Set each selected store to release now or after its own delay of up to 30 days. Hosted Web advances due per-store releases and paced batch slots on the server without a login or open dashboard. Keep the Mac app running for Mac schedules. Processing starts around the chosen time, while the store controls the exact time a listing becomes public. Clear Queue releases held work for processing; it does not delete work or cancel one destination. Check each store separately.

Every store finishes independently. A published target stays published when another target fails. ArtDrop makes one bounded automatic retry for a failed store when the outcome is safe to retry. It does not blindly replay an ambiguous create that may already exist. If the retry still fails, save the Live Log lines and reconcile the named provider and storefront before a manual recovery.

No. Your ArtDrop account shares Gelato and Printify credentials across its stores. Each store still points to its exact Gelato Store ID or Printify Shop ID, and the default destination IDs stay with the default store. ArtDrop stops an incomplete or mismatched destination instead of falling back to another store. Printful uses one exact Native or Manual Order/API store and never inherits a different store's destination.

Shopify and Etsy are live today. Etsy digital downloads publish directly through the exact authorized shop and supported storage. Physical Etsy products publish through your own Etsy-connected Printify shop or Gelato store. Supported Gelato and Printify setups can create store listings. Printful creates the product in Printful, not a Shopify or Etsy listing. Gelato V2 creates Shopify product data. A live publication reaches Shopify Online Store only after ArtDrop verifies the exact Gelato connection for every intended variant. Missing connection evidence keeps the product unpublished and requires a manual connection handoff in Shopify. ArtDrop creates product and listing data only. It does not access orders, customers, payments, shipping, or fulfillment. It does not relay orders or provide checkout.

ArtDrop publishes to Shopify and Etsy today. Etsy digital downloads publish directly through an authorized shop and supported storage, while physical products publish through your own Etsy-connected Printify shop or Gelato store. ArtDrop does not integrate with or publish to eBay, Amazon, Walmart, or Target Plus. TikTok Shop is not available to ArtDrop customers. It was submitted for app review July 24, 2026 and remains pending. Data Security and Privacy passed, with zero open items. Approval alone will not make the feature live. Pinterest is not currently available through ArtDrop.

Core public pages are available in English and Spanish; some blog posts are English-only. The ArtDrop app runs in English today. No additional app language is live. Any future app language will stay labeled beta while user translators review it before activation.

// Compatibility
Compatibility
ArtDrop works with Shopify and Etsy storefronts, plus three POD providers: Gelato, Printful, and Printify. Route support differs by storefront and provider.

Yes. Standard Shopify plans can grant the Admin API access ArtDrop uses; confirm access in Shopify during setup. Connect several Shopify stores to one ArtDrop account, each with its own voice and product lines. The first store is included and can use Shopify or Etsy. Etsy can complete first-run setup without Shopify. The advertised Web and Mac ladder covers store positions through 25. The Web add-store checkout rejects position 26. This is not a backend-wide maximum: the Mac checkout keeps charging $15 for positions above 25, the license server accepts entitlements up to 100, and saved-store validation can preserve 25 additional records plus the synthetic default for 26 effective routes. Shopify-billed entries are also excluded from the direct Stripe entitlement count. Treat any value above the advertised 25-position ladder as an implementation inconsistency or administrative entitlement, not a promised tier. Web uses a graduated ladder: store positions 2 and 3 cost $10 per month each, positions 4 through 6 cost $6 each, positions 7 through 10 cost $3 each, and positions 11 through 25 cost $2 each. On Mac, positions 2 and 3 cost $75 one time each, positions 4 through 6 cost $45 each, positions 7 through 10 cost $25 each, and positions 11 through 25 cost $15 each. Earlier stores retain the price assigned to their position. If the public Shopify App Store rail is approved and enabled later, each Shopify-installed shop will subscribe separately at the operator-configured Shopify plan amount and currency; the code default is USD $39 per 30 days.

Yes. Etsy is live in ArtDrop and can complete first-run setup without Shopify. Digital downloads publish directly through the exact authorized Etsy shop and supported storage. Physical products publish through your own Etsy-connected Printify shop or Gelato store. Printful creates its product in Printful rather than publishing to Etsy. Open the exact Etsy listing, preview, buyer download, and provider result before you begin selling.

Both. Digital downloads publish directly through Etsy without a print provider, but they still require the authorized shop and supported storage. Physical products publish through your own Etsy-connected Printify shop or Gelato store. Printful creates its product in Printful rather than publishing to Etsy.

Digital and physical Etsy paths

The square artwork crop illustrates a digital preview path. The Printify tote illustrates a physical product path. Neither image is an Etsy listing receipt or proof of publication. Compatible physical Etsy routes can also use Gelato, which is not pictured because this library has no verified Gelato product image.

No. Etsy digital downloads publish directly through the authorized Etsy shop and supported storage. Physical Etsy products use your own Etsy-connected Printify shop or Gelato store. Printful creates its product in Printful rather than publishing to Etsy.

Yes. Choose from the four current Printify Fabric by Yard products fulfilled by MWW On Demand: Combed Cotton Prima, Spun Polyester, Faux Linen, and Cotton Twill. ArtDrop places the artwork once on the selected cut as a panel. It does not build Mirror, Half-drop, Grid, Scatter, or another seamless repeat. Check Printify's current variants and specifications, then order a sample for a new fabric product. The Fabric by Yard guide has the full workflow.

ArtDrop works with a valid Gelato API key and Store ID. Gelato decides which plans and accounts receive API access, so check Gelato's current account terms for your plan.

It supports digital illustration, photography, scanned painting, mixed media, and graphic design saved as TIF, TIFF, PNG, JPG, or JPEG. The file still has to open and meet the requirements of your storage, template, provider, and store. Review AI-written copy for subject, context, rights, and accuracy before you use it.

No. One supported provider is enough to begin. ArtDrop supports Gelato, Printful, and Printify. Choose the products, regions, prices, quality, shipping, and account features that fit your business. Add and test providers one at a time.

Gelato imagery not represented. This library does not include a verified Gelato product image, so Gelato remains text only. That image gap does not mean Gelato is unsupported.

ArtDrop creates the product in your exact Printful Native or Manual Order/API store. You manage any later store publishing from Printful when you are ready. ArtDrop cannot confirm an automatic Shopify-connected sync, so it will not report a Shopify or Etsy listing for this work. Test one product in Printful before expanding the batch.

Provider Cost Comparison is representative and can be incomplete. The current table does not establish account-specific current pricing, source, currency, destination, shipping, tax, fees, plan discounts, or fetch time. Confirm every amount directly with the provider before pricing or choosing a route. Account and route isolation is not proven for this comparison. Displayed rows can come from a process-cached snapshot created before the current account configuration is read. Printify rows can also come from saved template variant costs while the response is still labeled live. Do not use the table as a quote.

// Why ArtDrop

ArtDrop turns one image into products and listings for supported stores and providers. Its optional Copy Engine can draft listing copy in your voice, or you can supply your own words. It creates supported Shopify products through Gelato or Printify, publishes Etsy digital downloads directly, sends physical Etsy products through your own Etsy-connected Printify shop or Gelato store, and creates products in Printful. You can also manage multiple stores, product lines, scheduled batches, pasted artwork, and results for each store from one workflow.

Pick Web for a hosted browser workflow and automatic software updates at $39/month. Pick Mac for a $399 lifetime license on up to 2 Macs and local app operation. Mac copy generation requires a personal Anthropic key. Copy generation is optional, and both versions accept seller-written copy. Connected stores, providers, storage, and other services still need internet and their own accounts. They are separate entitlements. A $399 Mac purchase does not include hosted Web access, and a Web subscription does not include the Mac app. The Web demo uses the 3-drop request counter described in the pricing answer and is not available in the Mac app. Both paid plans include a 14-day refund window.

Use a provider's own tools when you work only in that provider's catalog. Use ArtDrop when you want one workflow across Gelato, Printful, and Printify. Each connection adds its own credentials, templates, and possible errors, so test a supported template at every provider and check the resulting product.

Yes. A general writing tool can be enough for low volume or a manual workflow. You will move its output into your store and provider fields yourself. ArtDrop connects its copy draft and your saved voice rules to product creation. Review any generated text for facts, brand voice, and store readiness.

Bulk upload tools often focus on marketplace listings. ArtDrop focuses on its supported stores and print providers. Shopify and Etsy are live. Etsy digital downloads publish directly through an authorized shop and supported storage, physical products use your own Etsy-connected Printify shop or Gelato store, and Printful creates its product in Printful. Compare the current channels, copy tools, and provider connections against the work you actually need.

Hosted ArtDrop keeps the source and preview for a live drop in the active archive/master workspace. Licensed and demo users receive stable, identity-scoped paths that persist between browser sessions. Admin and local operation use the unscoped global fallback. Workers use this archive as their permanent source, and later tools can read it. The current backend has no automatic archive cleanup or account-deletion filesystem step, so a finished process or deleted account is not proof that hosted artwork was erased. Connected storage and provider services also receive the files they need.

ArtDrop coordinates Gelato, Printful, Printify, Shopify, Etsy, supported storage, and its Copy Engine from one interface. Behind it, every service has its own sign-in, rate limits, product IDs, image rules, and error messages. ArtDrop removes repetitive transfers and field mapping. You still run connection checks and review results as provider APIs and catalogs change.

ArtDrop costs $39/month for Hosted Web or $399 one time for the lifetime Mac license. They are separate purchases, and the first store is included. Product publishing has no ArtDrop per-product fee. Additional stores follow the ladder in the Shopify answer above. Copy generation is optional; the signed-in app shows its method, limits, and billing, while Mac requires a personal Anthropic key. Storage, Shopify, and print providers charge under their own terms. Provider costs can include production, shipping, taxes, and fees before your store payout arrives. Model one real order with your product, destination, retail price, taxes, payment fees, and payout timing.

// Privacy & data

ArtDrop does not sell personal data. Hosted Web uses application servers and databases for account, settings, credentials, billing, security, and operations. It sends the information needed for your work to the connected services you choose. The Mac app keeps its ArtDrop settings locally, while connected services still process the data they need. See the Privacy Policy for current categories, purposes, disclosures, and retention.

ArtDrop sends the information needed for the work you request: artwork and context to your chosen Copy Engine, files to the first automatic storage option that succeeds and to the compatible print provider, and listing data to Shopify or Etsy. Credentials go to a service when authentication requires them. Each connected service controls its own processing and retention under its current policy. ArtDrop's Privacy Policy explains ArtDrop's part.

No. ArtDrop does not sell personal data. It processes account, settings, credential, billing, security, support, and operational information to provide Hosted Web. It also shares the needed information with processors and the connected services you choose. The Privacy Policy has the current details.

Download my settings JSON saves configuration fields and template lists, plus the export time and app version. Hosted database storage encrypts credential values at rest with AES-256-GCM, but a downloaded settings file is a separate artifact. The download removes account identity and fields whose names match the current credential filter, then appends three legacy template arrays without applying that main-config redaction to them. The filter also misses LULU_CLIENT_KEY and GOOTEN_PARTNER_BILLING_KEY, so those credentials can remain. During /api/config/save, if a nonempty existing configuration is loaded, the session has no license key, and the global configuration file exists, the app attempts a timestamped raw copy. That copy can contain credentials, and copy failure is ignored. Treat every settings file as sensitive.

Restore accepts a UTF-8 JSON object up to 1 MiB with at most 500 top-level keys. It strips metadata and internal keys, routes recognized template lists to separate storage, and merges the remaining fields into the current configuration. For signed-in demos, template import and export can fall back to global files instead of identity-scoped storage. Re-enter credentials and verify the exact storefront, provider, storage route, and destination after import.

Signed-in users can download a limited account JSON under Data and privacy. It always contains the account email, export time, an explanatory note, and user, config, and credit containers that can be empty. It includes the user's email, creation time, and last-login time only when the user row is found. For the always-targeted demo:<email> identity and any licensed keys found through user_configs.email, it adds any nonempty configuration JSON and any matching plan and purchased-balance row under a stable hashed license_ref. Configuration values whose names match the current credential filter become [redacted], but LULU_CLIENT_KEY and GOOTEN_PARTNER_BILLING_KEY do not match and can remain.

The tools always target demo:<email>, but they target a licensed configuration only when its user_configs.email column was populated; current app code contains no call site for the helper that populates that column. Ordinary licensed configurations can therefore be omitted from export and survive deletion. The export also omits other data, including template columns, demo-counter fields, magic tokens, passkeys, sessions, suppressions, credit allowance and ledger fields, audit and drop records, affiliate, referral, commission, and payout records, license-server data, filesystem data including archive/master, and connected-service data. A database failure can produce a partial file without marking the download as failed.

The delete control attempts selected user, configuration, passkey, magic-token, and session deletions, then attempts email suppression. It does not cancel billing or delete the other omitted data. The endpoint reports success and signs this browser out even after a database or partial deletion failure. If the best-effort audit insert succeeds, it stores the raw email as the entity identifier while hashing the actor email and IP. Confirm removal with support before treating the response as complete erasure.

ArtDrop does not sell your email address. Transactional emails can cover purchases, account access, security, support, service changes, or licenses. A valid unsubscribe link tries to add your address to the suppression list, but the endpoint can report success after a database write fails. The inspected first-user welcome and purchase or license senders do not check that list. Magic-link suppression checks it but stays open after a database error, and the backend cannot confirm that every marketing sender checks it. Service providers can process your address to deliver authorized messages under the Privacy Policy.

Yes. Turn off copy generation in Settings and supply your own titles, descriptions, and SEO tags. ArtDrop will still process the files, create the products, and publish the supported listings.
