Publish artwork as a fabric panel

Turn one finished artwork into a fabric panel on four supported MWW On Demand products through Printify. Set up the product, run one test, and order a physical sample.

Before you start

ArtDrop places your complete artwork once as a fabric panel. Build the full composition into the source file before uploading, including any repeat you want to appear inside the panel.

  • A connected Printify account and exact shop. The shop must belong to the storefront that will receive the listing.
  • A complete, print-ready panel design. Include every border, background, motif, and safe area you need in the artwork itself.
  • A sample budget. Use the physical sample to judge textile color, hand, shrinkage, cut placement, and wash behavior.

This is a panel workflow. Build mirror, half-drop, half-brick, grid, scatter, or other repeats into the artwork itself. Each longer cut still uses one complete panel placement.

Choose one of four supported products

ArtDrop supports four Printify Fabric by the Yard blueprints fulfilled by MWW On Demand. Confirm the current provider specification because catalog details can change.

Fabric What to verify
Combed Cotton Prima Current fiber content, weight, width, care, usable print area, and whether the received hand fits your project.
Spun Polyester Current finish, color response, drape, care, cut options, and the exact product fit for your intended use.
Faux Linen Current fiber content and texture. Describe it as the provider does, not as natural linen unless the current specification says so.
Cotton Twill Current structure, weight, drape, care, print area, and suitability for the sewing project after sampling.

ArtDrop has no dedicated quilting-weight-cotton integration. Choose fabric from the current provider specification and your physical sample, since a cotton product name alone cannot establish weight, weave, feel, shrinkage, or fitness for a quilt.

Prepare the complete panel file

Design the image at the panel's intended proportions and scale. Treat the source as the entire printed composition, not as a repeat tile.

  • Use the provider print area. Check the current blueprint and variant dimensions in Printify before you finalize the canvas.
  • Add safe space. Keep critical faces, text, signatures, and borders away from expected trim or sewing areas.
  • Build in seam allowance when needed. Add sewing margins and pattern-piece guides to the artwork itself.
  • Use enough pixels. Follow the provider's quality guidance at the final print size. DPI metadata records scale, while the image pixels carry the detail.
  • Flatten the full layout. If you want a patchwork, border, or cheater-cloth-style composition, the source must already contain that complete arrangement.

In Templates, add a Printify product, choose the exact Fabric by the Yard blueprint and MWW On Demand, then save the intended variant, single-panel placement, and retail price.

    Choose the current variants you can inspect and support. Each cut uses the single panel placement, so review the provider preview for every selected variant.

    Set the retail price and save

    Base production cost is only one input. Add shipping, storefront fees, payment fees, taxes, returns, sample costs, and your margin before you set the retail price.

The current table does not establish account-specific current pricing, source, currency, destination, shipping, tax, fees, plan discounts, or fetch time. Confirm every amount directly with the provider before pricing or choosing a route.

Account and route isolation is not proven for this comparison. Displayed rows can come from a process-cached snapshot created before the current account configuration is read. Printify rows can also come from saved template variant costs while the response is still labeled live. Do not use the table as a quote.

Run one test drop

Start with one representative artwork and one active fabric template. Follow it in the Live Log, then open Printify and your store to confirm the panel before adding more designs.

    Upload the print master from the file picker or drop zone. Clipboard paste preserves the copied image's current resolution, so use the original file when print resolution matters.

    Check the material, size, use, care, and production wording. Keep every claim aligned with the provider specification and your sample, and describe the design as a panel rather than a seamless repeat.

    The Live Log shows progress through the provider and your store. Use Copy Log to save the details for support or compare them with the product in Printify.

Open the finished product in Printify and your store. Confirm the details there, then use the physical sample as your textile proof.

Order and judge a sample

Order the exact fabric and cut you plan to sell. Judge the received product in the conditions your customer will use it, then update the source, template, pricing, or copy before launch.

  • Color and contrast: compare important hues and dark detail with the source and preview.
  • Scale and crop: measure the printed focal point, safe area, and any border.
  • Hand and structure: feel the drape, thickness, weave, and surface for the intended sewing or display use.
  • Care behavior: follow the provider instructions and evaluate wash, dry, shrinkage, and edge behavior before describing them.
  • Cut usability: measure the usable printed area rather than relying on the nominal variant label alone.

Publish a physical fabric listing to Etsy

Publish through your own Etsy-connected Printify shop. ArtDrop creates product and listing data only. It does not access orders, customers, payments, shipping, or fulfillment. It does not relay orders or provide checkout.

Check production-partner requirements in Etsy, then confirm the Printify publication result and listing state before going live. ArtDrop cannot read Etsy's production-partner approval.

Common fabric problems

The artwork appears only once

That is the intended behavior. ArtDrop places the complete artwork once as a panel.

The longer cut does not repeat

Each cut uses one panel placement. Inspect the exact Printify variant and preview, then order that test cut.

The crop or scale is wrong

Pause the listing. Compare the source proportions with the provider print area, correct the complete panel file or template placement, and create a fresh test product only after checking for duplicate records.

The material copy is too confident

Edit the title and description to match the current provider facts and your sample. Use ArtDrop's Products editor for supported Shopify copy fields, then review and save the correction. Manage Etsy copy in Etsy.

Frequently asked questions

Does ArtDrop tile artwork for fabric?

No. It places the complete source once as a panel. If you want a visual repeat inside that panel, create the repeated layout in your artwork before uploading.

Which Printify fabric provider is supported?

The current route uses MWW On Demand on four Fabric by the Yard blueprints: Combed Cotton Prima, Spun Polyester, Faux Linen, and Cotton Twill.

Can I call the cotton products quilting fabric?

Only if the current provider specification and your physical sample support the exact claim you make. ArtDrop does not claim a dedicated quilting-weight-cotton integration.

Who handles a customer order?

ArtDrop creates product and listing data only. It does not access orders, customers, payments, shipping, or fulfillment. It does not relay orders or provide checkout.

Prove one fabric panel before you scale.

Save the exact Printify product, run one representative drop, inspect both destinations, and order a physical sample.

The Web demo uses a 3-drop counter. After a request saves at least one artwork file, the route rechecks demo mode and, if it is still active, attempts one increment. A concurrent request can exhaust the allowance before that recheck, and missing database connectivity can leave a saved request uncounted. A failed counter update does not fail the accepted upload response; exceptions from the attempted update are logged. The counter is not a hard maximum. The Mac app has no demo.
