What this does

Products edits supported Shopify or Etsy listing fields. Regenerate rereads the exact product's bound artwork and fills unsaved copy for review. Tag saves honestly replace the full tag list on the selected storefront.

Before you begin

  • Choose the exact Shopify or Etsy storefront and product in Products. For a draft, this is the review path before you publish it.
  • For Regenerate, use a managed copy credit or save a personal Anthropic key. Manual editing does not require generation.

What changes outside ArtDrop

Regenerate reads the immutable product-to-artwork binding and fills unsaved title, description, and supported SEO fields for review. Save writes supported copy and the full edited tag list to the selected Shopify or Etsy storefront. It does not synchronize tags to a POD catalog.

Steps

  1. Load the exact product

Choose the storefront and confirm the exact product card, product ID, image, and draft or published state before editing.

  2. Edit copy and the complete tag list

Edit title, description, and tags. Shopify also supports SEO title and SEO description here. Tags are full replacement: the saved list becomes the selected storefront listing's list, and an empty list clears it.

  3. Regenerate from the exact bound artwork

Choose Regenerate to reread the artwork bound to that exact product. The returned copy fills editor fields but remains unsaved until you review it and choose Save. Regenerate does not change publication status.

  4. Understand Regenerate metering

Each managed Regenerate request spends one managed copy credit. If you use a personal Anthropic key, the request uses that provider key instead and does not spend the managed credit. Regenerate is not chat.

  5. Save and verify the selected storefront

Choose Save, then inspect the exact Shopify or Etsy listing. Tag synchronization reports the selected storefront result; verify it before another save if the response fails or is unclear.

Expected result

The exact product's regenerated copy was reviewed before Save. The selected Shopify or Etsy listing contains the saved copy and complete edited tag list.

Good to know

  • Regenerate fills unsaved copy fields. It does not chat, generate the normal drop tag list, save automatically, or change publication status.
  • Tag replacement synchronization is supported for the selected Shopify or Etsy storefront listing only. It does not update Gelato, Printful, Printify, or Prodigi catalogs.
  • Managed Regenerate uses one ArtDrop copy credit. A personal Anthropic key uses that provider account instead. Out-of-credit and generation failures leave the existing saved copy unchanged.
  • Shopify SEO fields are storefront-specific. The editor does not change media, price, variants, inventory, or publication status.

Troubleshooting

  • Regenerate cannot find the bound artwork? Confirm this is the exact product created from an ArtDrop artwork binding before trying again.
  • Tag synchronization failed or is unclear? Inspect the selected Shopify or Etsy listing before another Save. Do not assume a POD catalog changed.
  • Rich Shopify description formatting disappeared? Products rebuilds simple description HTML. Restore richer markup in Shopify.

How to undo or clean up

Edit and save the fields again or restore them in the selected storefront. Products provides no automatic rollback for a saved change.
