What this does

Turn one artwork into Mirror repeat yardage inside the Printify product builder. ArtDrop previews the repeat, locks the verified MWW one-yard plate, and keeps the artwork in proportion.

Before you begin

  • Connect Printify, choose the Printify shop for this store, and have a supported Fabric by the Yard blueprint ready.
  • The supported blueprints are Combed Cotton Prima, Spun Polyester, Faux Linen, and Cotton Twill, all fulfilled by MWW On Demand.
  • Start with one finished PNG, JPG, or TIF. A simple crop usually makes the reflection easier to judge than artwork with important text or a strong direction.
  • Plan to order a physical swatch before you sell a new pattern. A screen preview cannot prove color, hand, scale, or the exact substrate.

What changes outside ArtDrop

Saving the template changes your Printify setup in ArtDrop. The next drop that uses it renders a full one-yard repeat plate, uploads that derived image to Printify, and creates the configured product. If the repeat render or upload fails, ArtDrop stops that fabric product instead of silently publishing the original as a panel.

Steps

  1. Open a supported fabric blueprint

Go to Print on Demand, choose Add Printify Product, and select one of the supported Fabric by the Yard blueprints. Choose MWW On Demand as the print provider. The fabric controls appear only on the supported blueprints.

  2. Choose Mirror

In Select Sizes & Set Prices, open Tile this for fabric and choose Mirror (always seamless). ArtDrop selects the verified one-yard variant and locks the full-bleed front placement, plate size, scale, and centered position so Printify cannot change the repeat.

  3. Set motif size and ground color

Choose a motif size from 0.5 to 12 inches and a ground color. ArtDrop keeps the artwork in proportion, fits it inside that motif area, mirrors it horizontally and vertically, and flattens transparent pixels onto the chosen ground.

  4. Preview the repeat

Choose an image and click Preview tiling. The preview is a small two-by-two view for judging joins, reflected features, motif spacing, and the ground color. It stays in memory and does not create a Printify product.

  5. Save and prove one drop

Add or update the product, save the Printify blueprints, and run one artwork before a batch. Inspect the Printify product and mockup, then order a swatch and measure the printed motif before you offer the pattern to buyers.

Expected result

The saved Printify template shows Mirror tiling with exactly one one-yard variant. A drop creates a full-bleed repeat plate whose opposite edges join cleanly, and the Live Log reports the product creation normally.

Good to know

  • The live repeat mode is Mirror only. Half-drop, Half-brick, Grid, and Scatter are not available in the live product builder.
  • Mirror tiling is supported only on the verified MWW one-yard variant for Printify fabric blueprints 1740, 1608, 10667, and 10668. Three-yard and five-yard cuts still use the ordinary panel-print path.
  • The preview accepts an image up to 10 MiB and 25 megapixels. The normal drop can still use a larger supported master; choose a smaller copy only for the preview.
  • Seamless means the repeat edges join. Mirror can still create visible reflection lines or reversed text, so judge the composition in the preview and avoid directional lettering.
  • These are general-purpose MWW fabrics offered through Printify. Do not describe them as true quilting-weight cotton unless your own ordered sample and the current provider specification support that claim.

Troubleshooting

  • No Tile this for fabric panel? Confirm the blueprint is one of the four supported fabric blueprints and that you selected MWW On Demand. Other products keep the normal placement controls.
  • Only one size stays selected after you choose Mirror? That is intentional. The prepper locks the verified one-yard cut because Printify centers one shared image on longer cuts instead of repeating it down the yardage.
  • Preview rejected? Use a readable image under 10 MiB and 25 megapixels, and keep motif size between 0.5 and 12 inches. A smaller preview copy does not replace the master used by the drop.
  • Fabric product stopped in the Live Log? Read the named render or upload error, correct the source or storage connection, and rerun one file. ArtDrop will not fall back to an untiled panel when Mirror was requested.

How to undo or clean up

Edit the Printify template and choose No tiling (panel print), or disable the template so future drops skip it. Delete any unwanted test product in Printify and its connected store separately.
