  • Account for separate provider, storefront, storage, and personal-key costs.

What changes outside ArtDrop

Purchasing Web creates a $39/month subscription and does not activate Mac. Purchasing Mac is $399 once and activates up to two Macs; the Mac license may also access the browser app. Additional store billing differs by rail.

Steps

  1. Choose Web for hosted access

    Use ArtDrop Web in supported desktop, phone, or tablet browsers. It includes a configurable managed Copy Engine allowance and can use a personal key. It is not a native mobile app, offline app, or guaranteed background worker.

  2. Choose Mac for local packaging

    ArtDrop Mac is a lifetime license for up to two Macs. Current Mac UI requires a personal key and stores configuration locally on the device. Protect that device/configuration; do not assume Keychain-only storage.

  3. Compare batch tools

    Both surfaces support multi-image scheduling. Only Mac exposes the full-folder Batch Processor with scan, concurrency, order, watch, pause/cancel, and CSV report.

  4. Compare stores and billing

    One store is included. Direct Web extra slots are $19/month; Mac extra slots are $149 once. Shopify-billed additional Shopify shops install and subscribe separately.

Expected result

The chosen plan matches the intended surface and billing owner, and no cross-surface entitlement is assumed beyond the documented Mac-to-browser access.

Limits and non-goals

  • Neither surface removes the need for internet when calling storefronts, providers, storage, or copy services.
  • Routine mobile browser workflows do not imply full desktop parity for setup and detailed administration.

Troubleshooting

  • If a purchase is attached to the wrong email/shop/billing rail, stop before buying again and contact support with a redacted receipt identifier.

How to undo or clean up

Manage Web billing in Stripe or Shopify as applicable. Release Mac activations before moving devices. Purchases and refunds follow the current Terms.
