What this does

Select catalog products, variants, prices, and verified dimensions for normal drops and the supported Review route.

Before you begin

  • Have a valid Gelato key and know which Gelato store receives the configuration.
  • Use Gelato v2 catalog products for new Review-compatible configurations; legacy template IDs remain only for existing setups.

What changes outside ArtDrop

Saving configuration is local/account-scoped. A normal drop can create Shopify products; Gelato v2 fulfillment reaches Gelato when a qualifying Shopify order is paid and the order rail is configured.

Choose a Gelato catalog. Select a catalog before choosing supported variants and prices. Saving this configuration alone does not publish a storefront product.

Steps

  1. Connect Gelato

    Open Setup → 3 Printers or the Print on Demand settings, enter the Gelato key, and load the v2 catalog. Do not rely on the standalone /templates deep link in the hosted app.

  2. Choose products and variants

    Select the exact product UIDs and variants, set positive retail prices, and save the active product set.

  3. Record verified print profiles

    In Review & Publish → Gelato print profiles, enter real Width, Height, Bleed each edge, Minimum DPI, and cover/contain/exact Fit behavior for each configured product.

  4. Run one controlled drop

    Use one artwork, verify the Shopify destination and price, then inspect the resulting product and print-fit evidence before enabling a larger set.

Expected result

The selected v2 products save as active, print profiles report verified dimensions, and a supported Review store no longer reports missing-profile blockers.

Limits and non-goals

  • A product catalog selection is not proof that every provider variant is currently available in every region.
  • Legacy Gelato templates do not enter the durable Review queue.

Troubleshooting

  • If catalog loading fails, recheck the key and selected Gelato store; do not paste credentials into support messages.
  • If Review reports missing dimensions or price, correct the profile/product instead of acknowledging the blocker.

How to undo or clean up

Disable unwanted configured products locally. Delete any Shopify product already created in Shopify; changing a template does not remove it.
