ArtDrop executes Printful only for Native and Manual Order/API provider stores. It creates or reconciles an exact provider product and does not create a Shopify or Etsy listing.

Before you begin

  • Select a Printful store whose executable type is native or manual_order. Other store types that the page may display are not accepted by the provider adapter.
  • Choose 1 to 100 unique variants from the fetched catalog, one placement, prices, and SKUs.

What changes outside ArtDrop

ArtDrop derives a stable external ID. A repeat finds and validates the same provider product when it already exists; otherwise it creates it once and polls the exact readback.

Steps

  1. Select the executable store

    Fetch the Printful stores and use a Native or Manual Order/API store. A Shopify-connected store is intentionally rejected.

  2. Save the exact product definition

    Choose the catalog variants, price and SKU for each, and the artwork placement. The template must contain 1 to 100 unique positive variant IDs.

  3. Verify what the readback proves

    The readback checks title, catalog variants, retail prices, SKUs, synchronized state, and the exact artwork file and placement. It does not verify description, tags, or mockups.

  4. Inspect the provider-only result

    Open the exact product in Printful. No Shopify or Etsy record is part of this route.

Expected result

The exact Native or Manual Order/API store contains a provider product whose verified title, variants, prices, SKUs, file, and placement match the saved template.

Good to know

  • The template accepts 1 to 100 unique fetched-catalog variants.
  • The adapter sends no product description or tags and does not verify mockups.
  • The route is provider-only and does not create, synchronize, or publish a Shopify or Etsy listing.
  • The Printful route creates no Shopify or Etsy listing.

Troubleshooting

  • Store rejected? Use a Native or Manual Order/API store. A displayed API-like type is not enough if the adapter does not accept its value.
  • Readback failed? Compare the named title, variant, price, SKU, file, or placement with the exact Printful product before retrying.

How to undo or clean up

Disable the template to stop future reconciliation. Delete an unwanted product in Printful. There is no ArtDrop-created storefront listing to remove for this route.
