What shipped.
Release by release.

Hosted Web updates are identified by date. Mac releases use the version embedded in the downloadable artifact. A dated Web update does not change the Mac version.

Hosted Web update July 31, 2026 Web
Safer connections and more resilient releases
Hosted connection credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Masking in browser views and filtering in downloads remain separate disclosure controls. Treat every exported settings file as sensitive. See credential safety.
Browser uploads and multistore fan-out now have bounded retries. A browser upload can make up to three total attempts only for retryable failures or outcomes proven safe to retry. Each failed fan-out destination gets one bounded retry while successful sibling stores are not replayed. ArtDrop stops instead of blindly replaying an uncertain external result. See fan-out and cadence.
Hosted Web release cadence continues without an open dashboard or signed-in browser. The enabled server sweeper advances eligible timed and rate-based work. Mac scheduling still requires the Mac app to remain running. A release enters processing and is not an exact publication-time guarantee. See batch scheduling.
Regenerate now uses the exact artwork bound to the product. It creates fresh draft copy in the Products editor before Save, uses the original store and product-line copy context, and leaves the result unsaved for review. Managed Regenerate consumes one managed copy credit; a configured personal Anthropic key uses the BYO path. Regenerate is generation, not chat. Product tags are also editable for Shopify and Etsy, and Save sends the validated replacement tag set to the selected Shopify or Etsy storefront. See the Products editor guide.
Etsy-only onboarding is a complete digital publishing path. A new user can choose Etsy as the included first store, connect supported external storage, and publish native digital listings without Shopify or a print provider. Etsy physical products still require the exact Etsy-connected Gelato or Printify destination. See the Etsy guide.
Mac lifetime and Hosted Web entitlements are separate. A $399 Mac lifetime license does not include Hosted Web access. Hosted Web requires its own active Web subscription. See plan comparison.
Hosted Web update Verified live through July 24, 2026 Web
Shopify catalog, editing, and billing
Pinterest Product Pins through Shopify are live. Shopify's official Pinterest sales channel carries the catalog and sends shoppers back to Shopify for checkout. ArtDrop also contains a separate organic Pin handler. Settings saved in the current Social screen do not reach its worker, but an older local .artdrop_config.json can trigger it after a Shopify collection is created. Product Pin setup is not proof or control of an organic Pin. See Pinterest Product Pins setup.
Direct Web billing opens in Stripe again. A signed-in direct Web subscriber can choose Manage billing to open Stripe for the active subscription. If Stripe does not open or the account state is uncertain after returning, stop and contact support before retrying. See billing and account data.
The Products editor supports exact-bound Regenerate and storefront tag sync. Regenerate rereads the artwork bound to the selected product and applies the original store and product-line copy context. Managed generation consumes one managed copy credit, while a configured personal Anthropic key uses that provider account. The result fills unsaved copy fields for review and does not change the storefront until you choose Save. It is generation, not chat. You can also edit the complete tag list, and Save sends the validated replacement set only to the selected Shopify or Etsy storefront. See the Products editor guide.
Accepted publishing routes
Provider publishing recovery is live on the accepted production routes. A successful configured Gelato or Printify route can create its route-specific Shopify or Etsy record. Printful stops at a verified Native or Manual Order/API provider product. Creation is not proof of publication, so inspect the exact provider and storefront records. See the route and output matrix.
Etsy can be the included first store. A new user can finish Etsy-only setup and publish direct digital listings without Shopify or a print provider after connecting Etsy and supported B2, R2, Dropbox, or Google Drive storage. Exact Etsy-connected Printify or Gelato destinations handle physical products. Shopify Files is not an Etsy storage route, and Printful is not an Etsy publication route. See the Etsy guide.
Multistore fan-out and per-store cadence are live. One admitted artwork can target several selected stores, and every target keeps its own route and release time. A failed destination can receive one bounded safe retry without replaying successful sibling stores. Hosted Web advances eligible timed and rate-based releases on the server without an open dashboard or signed-in browser. Mac scheduling requires the Mac app to remain running. A release enters processing and is not an exact publication-time guarantee. See the fan-out and cadence guide.

True multistore
Route one drop to multiple stores at once. In Storefronts, under Your Stores, check the shops under Publish drops to. Each accepted target processes independently with that store's trained voice and template lineup. A target can finish with a live listing, a draft, or a provider-only product, depending on the route. If one target fails, eligible sibling routes continue. Failed means this browser received a failure for one named target. ArtDrop does not currently provide customers a complete durable history of every terminal drop error.
Each store on its own release schedule. The per-store when picker releases an artwork now or after a delay of up to 30 days. A scheduled release starts that store's normal route; it does not by itself mean the result is published. On hosted Web, the server-side timed queue can release while the browser is closed if the backend remains running and its timed sweeper is enabled. Mac scheduling requires the Mac app to remain running unless a separately verified hosted entitlement handles that schedule. The Batch page does not show the per-store timed queue. See the multi-store guide.
Different products per store from one design. Each store's Template filter picks what it carries, so a hoodie can go out as three bestseller colorways on Etsy and the full size and color range on your own Shopify store.
Languages
Production language availability stays explicit. The public website is available in English and Spanish. The ArtDrop app runs in English today, and its source default leaves the app translation runtime off. No additional app locale is currently available. Any future app locale must remain clearly labeled beta through user-translator review before activation.

Fabric by the Yard panels
Four MWW On Demand fabric bases are available through Printify. Combed Cotton Prima, Spun Polyester, Faux Linen, and Cotton Twill can be configured as Fabric by the Yard products.
The live placement is a panel. ArtDrop supplies one finished artwork placement on each selected cut. It does not generate Mirror, Half-drop, Half-brick, Grid, Scatter, or another seamless repeat.
Prove the physical result. Inspect every selected cut and order a swatch before selling a new fabric product. The Fabric by the Yard guide explains the panel workflow and its limits.
Pricing
Additional stores use a graduated positional ladder. The first store is included. The advertised Web and Mac ladder covers store positions through 25. The Web add-store checkout rejects position 26. This is not a backend-wide maximum: the Mac checkout keeps charging $15 for positions above 25, the license server accepts entitlements up to 100, and saved-store validation can preserve 25 additional records plus the synthetic default for 26 effective routes. Shopify-billed entries are also excluded from the direct Stripe entitlement count. Treat any value above the advertised 25-position ladder as an implementation inconsistency or administrative entitlement, not a promised tier. On Web, store positions 2 and 3 cost $10 per month each, positions 4 through 6 cost $6 each, positions 7 through 10 cost $3 each, and positions 11 through 25 cost $2 each. On Mac, positions 2 and 3 cost $75 one time each, positions 4 through 6 cost $45 each, positions 7 through 10 cost $25 each, and positions 11 through 25 cost $15 each. Earlier stores retain the price assigned to their position. A legacy flat $19 per month Web add-on remains at that price until the next additional-store change through ArtDrop. Adding a store, or removing one while another additional store remains, migrates the item to the graduated ladder; removing the last additional store deletes it. Each store supports up to 50 product lines and has its own voice. The public Shopify App Store route is not currently available. If it becomes available, each installed shop will subscribe separately at the operator-configured plan amount and currency; the code default is USD $39 per 30 days.
Site
Explore what you can sell. Twelve new pages show ArtDrop by product family and by creator: apparel and embroidery, pet products, stationery, home decor, holiday and ornaments, plus pages for outdoor creators, pet-portrait artists, bands, teachers, company merch stores, nursery artists, and churches. Start at the new What to sell index, in English and Spanish.
Announcement bar. A slim, dismissible announcement bar rotates among five current feature notes, one note and one link per page load.
Accessibility and readability
Clearer text across the site. Small captions, footnotes, and footer copy now meet WCAG AA contrast, so they are easier to read.
Keyboard and screen-reader support for FAQs. The FAQ accordions announce their open and closed state and no longer trap keyboard focus inside a collapsed answer.
Comparison tables scroll on phones. Wide provider comparison tables in the guides now scroll sideways on small screens instead of clipping their last column.
Sharper provider comparison guides. The Gelato, Printful, and Printify comparison pages now point you to the right head-to-head guide when you are only deciding between two providers.
Hosted Web update July 14, 2026 Web
Etsy routes and operator gates
The direct Etsy module first shipped behind operator controls. The July 31 production release enables live, non-draft publication. Direct digital listings use the selected Etsy shop and supported B2, R2, Dropbox, or Google Drive storage. A failed file upload still requires inspection of the exact Etsy listing and storage result.
Physical print products use an exact connected provider destination. A later Etsy store can name an Etsy-connected Printify shop or legacy Gelato Studio store. Printify verifies the selected shop and requires publication confirmation; Gelato reports its observed visibility and purchasability. ArtDrop does not read a production-partner approval state, so inspect the exact provider and Etsy records instead of assigning a draft reason.
Etsy can now be the first-store setup path. The current wizard can finish with Etsy as the only storefront when the exact shop authorization and supported external storage are ready. Digital publishing does not require Shopify or a print provider. Physical Etsy products still require the exact Etsy-connected Gelato or Printify destination.
Faster drops
Paste an image to drop it. Copy artwork from anywhere and press Cmd+V on the dashboard to start a drop, no file dialog and no drag needed. Drag-and-drop still works exactly as before. (Cmd+V is a desktop gesture; on phones and tablets use the file picker.)
The Live Log opens when an accepted upload starts processing. The Live Log shows worker output received by this browser for the current session. A connection loss or failed replay can leave it incomplete while processing continues. Upload acceptance and a running log do not mean a destination is published; inspect the exact external result named for that route.
Batch drip scheduling
Space accepted artworks out over time. Live since July 10, submit many artworks at once and either release them into processing now or hold them for release at 1, 2, 5, or 10 artworks per day or about 1 artwork per hour. Since the July 31 production update, Hosted Web advances eligible paced releases through its server sweeper without an open dashboard or signed-in browser. On Mac, keep the app running. A release starts the normal route; it does not by itself mean the destination result is published. CSV or XLSX sheets set per-image copy and store or line routing for the whole batch.
Hosted Web update July 12, 2026 Web
Multiple stores, product lines, and safe routing
Multiple stores are live. Each store keeps its own storefront connection, exact Gelato Store ID or Printify Shop ID, voice, product lines, and templates. Account-level POD API keys are shared across all stores. Other store identity, naming, tags, and listing settings remain store-specific.
Product lines are live inside every store. Per-line voice additions, title rules, SEO suffixes, tags, introductions, and template filters stay scoped to the selected store. A store can contain up to 50 product lines.
Routing fails closed. Drop Zone selection and store or line fields route to the explicit destination. Unknown or incomplete values stop the drop rather than falling back to the primary or last-used store.
Voice and credentials have different copy rules. Copy settings across stores clones voice and product lines, never credentials. Store writes use revision checks so concurrent edits ask the user to reload instead of overwriting newer data.
Additional-store pricing is active. The public Shopify App Store route is not currently available. If it becomes available, each installed shop will subscribe separately at the operator-configured plan amount and currency; the code default is USD $39 per 30 days.
v1.0.2 April 28, 2026 Mac
Setup Wizard
Current Mac artifact identity. The downloadable Mac artifact is v1.0.2, released April 28, 2026, with SHA-256 7b87d6176237371b64dad44ec4ade0dae9f23357bf0b0a41861cf62f0d146c97. Later dated Hosted Web updates do not change this binary.
In v1.0.2, the setup wizard used four steps. Storefront, Storage, Printers, and Copy were the sequence in that release.
The current Hosted Web app shows five setup sections. Storefront, Storage, Printers, Social, and Copy are visible. The Social screen saves five platforms, but those nested settings do not reach the publishing worker. An older local hidden configuration can still trigger the handlers after a Shopify collection is created, so the current toggles cannot be relied on to enable or stop posts. Shopify-driven Pinterest Product Pins are a separate catalog capability.
Guided Shopify connection groundwork. The Storefront step gained a guided authorization path. The public Shopify App Store route is not currently available. Connect through the merchant-owned direct setup where it is available. If the public listing becomes available, ArtDrop will document that install path separately.
Storage required when B2 is selected. When B2 is the chosen storage backend, every B2 field is required, the wizard won't let you continue with anything blank. Fewer "why didn't my upload work" moments later.
Preflight reads cleanly at 4 of 4. "All 4 connected. Step through to confirm your settings, then you're ready to drop your first artwork." (Replaces the misleading "fill the gap" line.)
Voice Trainer & Image Trainer
Voice Trainer lives under Copy and Data. No more separate sidebar entry. It can analyze supported writing files, a website URL, or the Store Identity fields. The current screen does not expose a free-form passage analyzer. The rules reach the form fields and start a best-effort background save, but the applied status does not prove persistence. Review, choose Save, and reload the selected store to confirm.
Image Trainer is a real conversation now. Drop an image, ArtDrop describes it, you chat back to refine, ArtDrop rewrites. Tags persist across iterations along with the rest. Live status during the analysis ("Reading your image..." → "Writing your copy..." → "Drafting descriptions..." → "Almost there...") plus a thumbnail that stays put.
Safety prompt. A small always-on never-use list asks the copy model to avoid profanity, slurs, and similar terms regardless of your voice training. The never-use list is a model instruction, not a deterministic output filter. It does not create an approval pause. Inspect each result after processing and edit it where the route allows.
NSFW URL guard on the Voice Trainer Website analyzer. Adult-content URLs (porn, OnlyFans, and similar) get rejected with a clear error instead of being scraped.
Backup & Restore
Settings export scope is explicit. The downloaded JSON starts with the export time and app version. It removes account identity and configuration fields whose names match the current credential filter, then includes the templates, printful_templates, and printify_templates lists. The filter misses LULU_CLIENT_KEY and GOOTEN_PARTNER_BILLING_KEY, so those credentials can remain; treat the file as sensitive. Import accepts a UTF-8 JSON object up to 1 MiB with at most 500 top-level keys, strips metadata and internal keys, routes recognized template lists to separate storage, and merges the remaining fields into current configuration. A separate timestamped raw-copy path can contain the full global configuration. Re-enter credentials and verify the result after import.
v1.0.1 April 16, 2026
Setup Wizard
Seven numbered wizard tabs. New order: 1 Storefront, 2 Printers, 3 Templates, 4 Storage, 5 Copy, 6 Voice, 7 Test. Storefront and Printers are separate tabs, Templates comes right after Printers so product setup flows naturally, and the copy engine key lives in its own step instead of buried under Storage.
Copy generation is optional, and now it's obvious. The Copy step asks "Do you want ArtDrop to write your copy for you?" Pick Yes and paste your copy engine key. Pick No and set each field (title, description, SEO, alt text) to either Filename mode (the artwork's file name becomes the title) or Template mode (you define a reusable string). Core publishing to Shopify and every POD provider works identically either way.
EXIF camera data toggle. If your files carry camera, lens, ISO, or shutter metadata, ArtDrop can include it in Shopify listings as description text, hidden tags, or not at all. You pick. Default is Full, for a cleaner presentation switch to Tags only or Off.
Mac desktop app available. Signed and notarized by Apple. Download from /download or from the post-purchase email. The current Mac offer is a separate $399 lifetime license for up to two Macs; the hosted Web plan is $39 per month.
Shopify access token first. Paste your shpat_ admin API access token directly. No more Client ID and Client Secret fields up front. We hide the OAuth plumbing until you need it.
Live Printify pricing. When you pick a new Printify blueprint, ArtDrop fetches real production costs from Printify's API so the margin calculator reflects your actual variant prices.
The current settings round-trip is partial. Export removes email, license identity, and configuration fields matched by the credential-name filter, then carries the remaining configuration and the templates, printful_templates, and printify_templates lists. Because the filter misses LULU_CLIENT_KEY and GOOTEN_PARTNER_BILLING_KEY, those credentials can remain. Import enforces the 1 MiB and 500-top-level-key limits, removes metadata and internal keys, separates recognized template lists, and merges the remaining fields into current configuration instead of replacing the whole account.
Accessibility & Polish
Bigger, consistent type. Every font size in the app now maps to a shared scale with a higher minimum. Small text is easier to read, and the whole app scales in lockstep.
Public Spanish pages. This release translated Contact, Disclaimer, Thanks, and the FAQ and added a language control to public navigation. It did not localize the private ArtDrop application interface.
Historical v1.0.1 description. At release, this note described a side-by-side production cost table across 20 product categories, with Printify live data and Gelato and Printful static estimates.
Current correction. The current Provider Cost Comparison is a representative, incomplete process-cached snapshot. The old static-estimate gap fill remains quarantined, so missing provider-category results stay absent. It does not establish account-specific current pricing, source, currency, destination, shipping, tax, fees, provider-plan discounts, or fetch time. Account and route isolation has not been proven, and a cached snapshot is not a quote. Confirm every amount directly with the provider for the exact product, variant, account, currency, region, destination, and route.
Security
Stricter content security work. This release migrated 155 inline event handlers to delegated listeners, tightening the content security policy across the app.
Login page in v1.0.1. At that time, sign-in used a license key with per-IP attempt limits. Current sign-in is passwordless: a magic-link email plus an optional passkey (Touch ID or Face ID).
File workspaces are account-scoped, not browser-session-scoped. For a bound license, the hosted app derives a stable hashed workspace from the license key. A signed-in demo derives one from demo:<email>. The same identity reuses its incoming, archive, batch, and worker-state namespace across browser sessions. Admin and local fallback use the unscoped global paths.
v1.0.0 March 31, 2026 Launch
Core Pipeline
The launch pipeline joined the core steps. It connected image analysis, listing-field drafting, provider product creation, and store publishing. The current source also contains organic-post handlers, but saved Social settings do not cross into the worker that calls them.
Three providers in one configured workflow. Gelato, Printful, and Printify were supported from launch. Exact products depend on compatible templates, provider responses, credentials, and the active destination; a provider failure can stop an individual product.
Shopify access-token setup at launch. The manual path used a Shopify Admin API token beginning with shpat_. Later releases added a guided authorization path.
Organic social code remains only partially wired. Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, Bluesky, and Pinterest handlers still exist. Current saved Social settings do not reach the worker, while an older local hidden configuration can still trigger them after a Shopify collection is created. Shopify-driven Pinterest Product Pins remain a separate catalog capability.
Voice Trainer. After at least one image-copy refinement, choose Sounds like me, review the extracted rules, save the checked rules, and wait for the success response.
Web App
Hosted browser access. The web app runs in modern desktop, phone, and tablet browsers, no install required.
Add a browser shortcut to the home screen. On iPhone or Android you can save ArtDrop to your home screen for quick reopening.
Two purchase options. $39 per month covers the hosted web app in supported browsers. $399 once covers the native macOS app on up to two Macs. Connected services and Copy Engine usage follow their own current terms.
Roadmap published with v1.0.0
What the launch roadmap named, and where it landed. The March 2026 roadmap named WooCommerce and Etsy as storefront goals. WooCommerce was retired. Etsy shipped in July 2026 and now supports Etsy-only first-run setup, direct digital publication with supported external storage, and physical publication through exact Etsy-connected Gelato or Printify destinations.
Digital downloads were a launch-roadmap goal and are now live. A new user can publish direct Etsy digital listings without Shopify or a print provider after authorizing Etsy and connecting supported B2, R2, Dropbox, or Google Drive storage.
Store analytics is currently unavailable. Its page is kept dark, and the legacy analytics handlers remain as unrouted reference code. The Shopify OAuth scopes ArtDrop requests cover products, files, online-store navigation, publications, content, and inventory. They do not include orders or customers.
// Current public plans
$39/month Web or $399 lifetime Mac.
ArtDrop adds no per-product publishing fee. Copy Engine usage, additional stores, fulfillment providers, storage, marketplace fees, shipping, taxes, and other connected services remain separate.
